What is a CSA
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Traditionally, CSA programs are a way for communities to support local agriculture, while receiving the freshest fruits and vegetables directly from the grower. Customers who purchase a CSA share usually receive a weekly box of assorted vegetables, which varies depending on what is available/in-season. By paying for a full-season CSA share upfront, community members have an opportunity to make a commitment to local farms by sharing risks with the farmer, such as unknown weather and other unpredictable factors associated with growing vegetables. 

About our CSA:
Marilee’s Farmstand offers spring and fall/winter CSA programs. Our CSA seasons typically run between 10-15 weeks. Each week we offer a $50 basket of assorted vegetables. The baskets are suitable for a family of four. We offer two CSA options: customers can prepay for the full-season, or sign-up on a week-by-week basis. You must sign-up in order to receive a CSA basket. Pick up is every Friday between 11am-4pm and Saturday between 11am-1pm. We ask that you pick up your basket on the day you selected when signing up. On Fridays our farmstand is also open for regular shopping, with additional produce and dry goods for sale.

CSA full-season sign-up:
We offer one free week for customers who prepay for the full-season. Full-season sign-up opens about one month prior to first CSA pick up date. After the first week of our CSA, full-season sign-up is no longer available on our website, but if you would like to prepay for the remaining weeks please contact us by email at: info@marileesfarmstand.com. We will prorate the cost for you (but you will not receive the bonus week). There are no refunds for prepaid full-season sign-ups, but if you are worried that you might miss a week or two, you can rest assured that your box will not go to waste! Any CSA boxes that are not picked up will be donated. 

CSA week-by-week sign-up:
We offer a week-by-week CSA sign-up, which means you don’t have to commit to the entire season. If you are interested in our week-by-week CSA, please sign up for our email list (if you haven’t already) on the main page of our website. Once you are on our email list, look out for our sign-up email each week. Emails go out on Monday at noon with a sign-up link and a list of what will be in the CSA that week. CSA sign-up is open between Monday 12pm - Thursday 12pm each week, during our active CSA weeks. 

CSA pick-up:
CSA pick-up is every Friday between 11am-4pm or Saturday between 11am-1pm, at our farm stand (698 Sagg Main St, Sagaponack). CSA baskets that are not picked up by Friday at 5pm or Saturday at 1pm (depending on which pick up day you selected) will only be left out if they are prepaid. If you have prepaid online for your CSA basket we will leave it on the stand, with your name on it, until Saturday afternoon. Although we are willing to extend this courtesy, we prefer to avoid leaving baskets overnight as they will be left unattended and subject to weather and other natural elements.

CSA Discounts:
We now offer a 15% discount on CSA memberships for seniors, teachers, healthcare workers, EMTs & firefighters. This discount can be applied to a full-season membership or our week-by week option. This discount can only be used for our CSA and does not apply to regular farm stand products.

Subscribe to our CSA email:
If you aren’t already on our CSA email list, you can subscribe on the main page of our website. By subscribing to our email list you will receive periodic newsletters and information related to what we are harvesting as well as information related to our CSA program. You will also receive our weekly CSA sign-up emails throughout our active CSA months. You can unsubscribe from our email list at any time. 

CSA email troubleshooting:
Should you have trouble finding our CSA emails in your inbox at any time, please check your promotions folder or junk mail/spam. You can also access the weekly sign-up form directly on our website between Monday 12pm- Thursday 12pm, during our active CSA weeks.
